The history behind it
Parody of the real 1932 public mood: Perth papers treated the Emu War as a joke until it got close. Here City Hall declares a 'Metropolitan Exclusion Zone,' the Midland Railway Workshops armour a truck badly, and Major Meredith makes his first on-camera appearance promising the capital is 'entirely secure.'

Midland Workshops Yard
Rail siding · Defence tier 3
Rail workshop yard where the army armours its vehicles. An Armoured Car (prototype, doors don't quite close) circles the turntable — bog it in the greasy inspection pits, or rocks-tier it down. Big scrap drop.
Market Garden Line
Homestead garrison · Defence tier 2
Requisitioned market gardens laced with Barbed Wire between glasshouses, steering the swarm into two overlapping Rifleman Line arcs. The cabbages are excellent and morale-restoring.
Guildford Road Checkpoint
Gun post · Defence tier 3
Sandbagged road checkpoint with a Lewis Gun Post covering the bridge approach and a Cavalry Patrol sweeping the paddocks behind. Spook the horses onto the checkpoint for chaos.
Scarp Signal Post HQ
Country pub · Defence tier 4
Meredith's forward HQ on the Darling Scarp foothills: radio mast, Field Artillery battery lobbing shells at predicted positions, Sandbag Officer conducting it all. Capturing it cuts the newsreel feed mid-boast and closes Act I's urban chapter.
